Hi,
I have bipolar depression and am considering trying Luvox because of the supposed less severe sexual side effects its causes compared to others I have tried like Paxil.
I would love to hear ANY information about this drug, because there is not a whole lot of info available that I have been able to find.Namely:
1. How good is it against depression?
2. How helpful in lessening anxiety/panic?3. How long to work?
4. I heard you can not consume caffeine , is this true?
5. Do cigarettes affect the dosing?
6. could you add something like low dose selegiline to the mix to boost dopamine levels?
7. How likely is it to induce mania in a bipolar patient who is on Lithium?

Jimmyboy been on it for years at low doses. Don't know about sexual effects with a male and cigarettes don't smoke and since I'm also on a benzo it doesn't give me anxiety side effects in fact I went up too days ago and nothing no side effects could be l00mg is still to low or it no longer works as an antidepressant. It does suppposedly increase effects of caffeine and benzo . I drink tea has caffeine but doesn't bother me and eat a lot of chocolate. And doses below around 250mg supposedly don't get rid of depression. What is your dosing schedule? Phillipa

I have not talked to my doc about it yet, I wanted to try to get more information about it before I brought it up with him
