I have nothing but praise to Luvox. I take 150 mg in the evening and it virtually has eliminated all obsessive worries.

Here in Middle East, it is the first line antidepressant although it's prime indication is OCD in US. For me, no other ADs worked better than this. More importantly it doesn't seem to affect my sexuality at all.

Good luck with Luvox

Well after years of taking it without any drastic improvement it is the most sedating of the SSRI's and good for OCD but I haven't gone past l00mg which is the same to me as 50mg. Phillipa

Mishal you only take l50mg?? And it helps depression? Why won't it do that for me. My benzo dose is only l5mg of valium. I don't get it have been to l50 and nothing then either that was in the past. I even years ago got to 250mg and it worked for two weeks only. Phillipa

Hi Phillipa,

Yes. Luvox works excellently for me at 150mg. May be it is because I mix it with Provigil too. Though been prescribed, I am very careful to use my Ativan, because I often find it depressing.

Luvox is an excellent sedative too. My need for ambien is reduced since I began to take the full dose at night.

Maybe I will try all the dose at night too. But I thought you weren't supposed to? I'm only on l00 now. Thanks for answering me. Phillipa

luvox did stop me locking the car 3 times in a row to make sure it was locked properly and same with the front door when I went to work. It is a good med, give it a go.
