zoloft question

Posted by suebirds on August 21, 2007, at 18:56:38

I was wondering if I were to crush up my zoloft and take it like that would my body absorb it any better then taking the pill whole. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank You Suebirds

Are you finding that you are not getting the proper effect from the med? Maybe you need a higher dosage? I don't if crushing it would help, but I know that some meds should not be crushed .. check with your pharmacist.

The p-doc wanted me to stop it to see if I could go with out it when I was on paxil the only other thing I was on was clonazapam so we are hoping the zoloft will work as good. But I have to say I dont remember feeling like this on the Paxil my emotions are still up and down I have to say I have not really balance out on the meds yet. Any sugestions I go see my p-doc today. Thank You Suebird

Yes Phillp im back on the zyprexa was on 2.5 mgs but went to the p-doc this past Monday and he told me he wanted me to go back up the zyprexa to 5 mgs and I have done that and i'm feeling better since I did that but the one thing i've notice is when I woke up this morning I had that weird shakie feeling inside my body it feels like a treamor so im thinking it has to do with the zyprexa, he also had me go back to just taking 100 mgs of zoloft but he did say to me if im still having problems by the end of Sept he was going to put me back on the Paxil because we giving zoloft plentyy of time to work so we shall see. If I have to do that im not looking forward to the switch once again.

Suebird I agree about being related to zyprexa. I think you should call you pdoc and let him could be something or nothing. But better safe . Phillipa
