Has anyone successfully used Geodon for a length of time?

May I ask what condition it's for and the dose. No extenuating medical conditions sure you doc would know that as well. Good luck I hope you do well. Phillipa

Too sedating for me to keep taking, but I hear it helps some people quite a bit.

I have been on 20 mg of geodon for more than two years. I have had no side affects and it has made a big difference for me. I'm diagnosed BP II and it has kept serious depression at bay and stabilized my mood. It is my "foundation" drug; I am very sensitive to higher doses of meds so I take geodon in combination with low doses of requip, lamictal, prozac, and ativan.

My experience with Geodon is a lot like the last two posters. I'm diagnosed as BPI. When I first started Geodon, I had problems with orthostatic hypotension where my BP would plummet when I went from sitting to standing. Otherwise, Geodon seemed to work well for me. While I was on Geodon, I was also on Cymbalta, Lamictal, and Klonopin, so I can't isolate what Geodon did, but at least I knew it wasn't doing any harm.
