Celexa is probably the least stimulating therefore the least likely to cause anxiety, but of course there's so much individual variability it's impossible to give concrete answers. Zoloft has some minor DA reuptake and is usually quite 'activating', Prozac even more so as it is quite strongly noradrenergic compared to other SSRIs. Celexa is the most selective of the SSRIs (bar Lexapro of course) and is often said to be the one with the least side effects.

I was on Celexa for a year. I had ZERO side effects. Yeah, absolutely NO side-effects whatsoever. It was awesome, probably the best medication I've tried so far.

Zoloft was ok, but didn't help my social anxiety (only my OCD) and it gave me sexual side effects.

Never tried Prozac.

Lexapro was crap for me. It destroyed the effects of Celexa and made me more depressed than ever.

Based on *my* personal experience, I'd go for Celexa.

But... every person is different, so you got one person's opinion and experience. Consider others too.

Good luck

Celexa i would say is definately the cleanest by far...i was on it for over a year w/no side affects at all. Prozac would be more likely to cause anxiety as it is very activating. Zoloft is similar to prozac but not quite as activating.

Are you all talking high doses? As I've been on low doses of all and 50mg of zoloft did nothing side effect wise. Love Phillipa

I'll go Zoloft, cipramil(celexa) gave me the shakes, sweats, jaw clenching where I split a couple of teeth to the gum, uncontollable yawning and a touch of akathesia too which was weird. Prozac also gave me yawning and jaw clenching. Zoloft has given me diarrhea and slight shaking but I'm very happy with it.

Zoloft is one drug which really pissed me off!

I took it and within hours I felt this goofy happy feeling. I felt like all was right with the world.

Then, within hours, like 6-8hrs or less, this feeling was gone and instead I was more depressed than before I began it!!

It was like, 'Here I am, but you can't catch me!'

It's Zoloft that always brings Awakenings w/ Robin Williams and Robert DeNiro to mind!
