LAMICTAL SWEATING?

Posted by clubfitter on August 1, 2007, at 20:41:20

Insane sweating on effexor and lamictal. Weaning off the effexor, but wondering if it could be the lamictal. Taking 200mg of the Lamictal, but been sweating since I started the effexor in particular. Thanks!

I think it's the Effexor too - it was a big problem for me, and I didn't try Lamictal until I was on Cymbalta. Which also causes the sweats.
4 years of a LOT of laundry. It's this particular class of drug, the SNRI, that seem to be the problem. I don't believe that the mood stabilizer Lamictal is related to the excessive perspiring.

It's definitely the Effexor. Effexor made me sweat like nothing else. Zoloft made me sweat a little more than usual. I'm on Lamictal and Lexapro now, and I don't sweat excessively at all.

I agree with Bonnie. I was on Effexor and even had to change to a stronger deodorant due to the sweating. I'm now on Lamictal and Lexapro and have no sweating whatsoever.

Thats great news...I am now back on Lexapro and Lamictal, as well as Klonopin and Geodon and am worried about weight gain and sweating...like i said, the Effexor was a nightmare for sweating. I have heard great things for SAD and MDD which i suffer from but I also work outside in 110 degree heat in sales....could not bear the sweating...any more experiences are greatly appreciated!
