Just thought id share, its day two on the combo.Im moving slow splitting a 100 mg dose up 2 a day.
I can first say its MUCH gentler on the body then the ampehtamines combo,i.e ritalin/parnate.
The main thing im noticing is when the anti depressant effect of parnate as usual tends to fade i feel a back bone now that does not allow it too.
Still to early to tell, but knock on wood i can say i feel no danger at all, whatsoever,i do feel more clearer in thought, however im noticing that im getting caught up in various things and taking them head on and although theres no anxiety i dont feel a high degree of social desire.
However there is much more time needed, including the benzo factor as well,so as long as i dont hate it,and actualy enjoy it,i have no problem moving slow and taking each account day by day.
Thanks

I have been thinking about taking this combo as well. I currently take 40 mgs of parnate, but I have alot of day time fatigue and mental fog. My psyc-doc is not sure if she wants to prescribe provigil because of possible interactions, but either way I will get it and give the combo a try. I have read alot of positive stuff about provigil and it sounds like it might be just what I need. The only thing I worry about with it is that it will make me feel anxious if it is overly stimulating, but I have read that it generally does not do this. Instead, it is suppose to make you awake and motivated without that extra amped up nervous feeling. Is this what you have experienced? Just curious.

Well i can only speak for myself, but having been on the classic amphetamines dex and ritalin and even welbutrin combo with parnate i can say this.
Pro" Clean feeling, there is no physical interaction at 50 mg so far.In fact what seems to happen is its undetectable until a bit later on as you begin to notice your body attempts to sway to that mental and phsyical fatigue, but just never does, then you notice more clarity yess.
The con im not seeing is like ritalin,it tends to make you slightly obsessed with a task at hand. For instance if you are writing etc you tend to ignore things around you, things you normaly wouldent and become intranced with the project at hand. This is what the ritalin combo did, however two things to note...
The ritalin combo was hard and dirty on the body, you knew there was a crash comming and it usualy did, worsening depression.
Provigil although have the similiar effect remains smooth and near nonexsistent to the mind and body,no crash.
Also i have ocd tendacies,so this might be more of a problem for just me.
All and all id say no bodly interaction at all to be concerned with,no increased anxiety, main pitfall is it seems to make well me at least more compulsive.BUT the degree i need to work with using this drug in combo is absurd,i might even use it as needed only, its just way too early to tell, ill speak to my new doc on it.
But there are many drugs i attempt to use as a augment and chuck right away, this is NOT one of them,it is definatly worth looking into i believe.
Of course please dont use my medication rotuines as anything more than info,i dont wanna be responsable for hurting anyone, make an adult decision when ingesting any drug.Good luck keep us posted.

Provigil gave me a nasty headache (and on 80 mg of Parnate). Tried ritalin, dexadrine, ritalin SR, dexadrine spansules .... ended up on Adderall XR and that was the best. I am not longer on Parnate (sniff), but I still take the Adderall.
