Emsam patches are not available here, but generic selegiline can be bought OTC. I am on prozac but apathy and anhedonia (most probably induced by prozac) really suck. I have heard about selegiline's excellent effect on motivation and energy. Can oral selegiline be taken with Prozac? Or should I stop prozac and wait? Is there any dietery restrictions for selegiline?
Lastly, some reported selegiline is anxiogenic. In such cases, can I use a benzo to arrest this side effect?

My resources say that these two are contraindicated. The risk of serontonin syndrome is too high.

If you use minimal amounts (no more than 2.5mg/d) of selegeline it could well be OK.
Selegeline is best in low doses anyway.
