Do you have anxiety bad?
If you dont, i want you to check out Effexor or Wellbutrin like i mentioned in the post above.
Effexor is a good antidepressant with stimulant properties.
Wellbutrin is a bit more stimulating, it is the perfect medication for motivation. BUT wellbutrin may give you anxiety, but not severe at all. EVen if there it does, Xanax will kick its butt.
Alright about paxil and lexapro, i dont know much about lexapro but i've heard its potent, but im not sure, but i think its worth try.
Take Care

I agree, i want you to try wellbutrin, its stimulating, not litterly as a stimulant, but it is made to help individuels with depression for motivation. Now, anxiety has been reported before, mainly becuase of its arousal-stimulating properties which is common.
Even if there is anxiety, it wont stand a chance against Xanax, xanax will keep the anxiety disiplined.
Mention Wellbutrin to your doctor, in your next appointment, and tell him that you want to continue Xanax with wellbutrin to level the anxiety.
Lexapro i dont know much about, its new, and came you in 2001, i've heard good things about it in articles over paxil, but nothing in depth. But it may make you drowsy with the Xanax, thats why i belive wellbutrin may help to normal your energy.
One more thing, i would take xanax with Wellbutrin the first couple days, becuase when i started wellbutrin, i felt "wired" and a little anxious, but this effect goes away about 3-5 days after you take it, becuase the body will eventually equalize the effects.
If you have social anxiety, wellbutrin is not ment for social anxiety and could make it more intense becuase of it seems to sharpen the senses slightly as a stimulant effect, but like i said Xanax "will" take care of any "edgyness" caused becuase it is a very potent antianxiety med.
Take care....
Matt

Matt, thanks so much for your advise. I think paxil has helped some w/ my social anxiety, but not the way i wanted. Plus, I still am depressed, well, actually, I dont feel much of anything. Like I just got $5000 (that i desperatley needed) and instead of being totally excited. Im just kinda like ho-hum....and i dont like feeling "nothing". So, i will mention wellbutran to my doc and see what happens.

Hi,
I don't know if you are still on this board but I saw your thread about switching from Paxil to Lexapro and was wondering if you ever found anything that worked.
You sound pretty much like you were in the same situation as me which is why I am writing to you.
