That Abilify realy messed me up. Its been over 2 months since stoping the Abilify and going back on mega doses of zyprexa, 10-30 mg a day. Seems like its a lot less effective since the long time on abilify, 5 months(?).
Also taking glycine now, which helps with worrying.
Am feeling a lot better now after 2 months back on Z. Its been a strugle though. Compleatly went psycho. On the A, I lost a lot of sleep, and was tired all day, unable to function. Anxietys up, paranoid, staying up all night till 8 am in the morning and sleeping only 3 hours some nights. Oh, and smoked and drank a lot in order to sleep at night(morning)(couldn't sleep at night, easyer to sleep in morning).
Anyways that was my experience, similar to when I went off meds in the past. Except for the drinking and smoking.
yes I was easily irritalble on A, thought everyone was out to get me, neighbors, co-workers. Banging noises because they were mad at me. Yes voices too, the TV talked to me. Thats all I did, stay in and watch TV. The zyprexa did not even work for a while after stoping the abilify. Feared the phone. Oh, and I started donating money and other stuff?! Thats not normal for me.

I wanted to second Phillipa's warning about weight gain and diabetes. From what I know, psychiatrists usually don't ask patients on Zyprexa or the other antipsychotics to expect weight gain, or to monitor fasting blood sugars and insulin resistance - but they should. It can be such a helpful drug, but I would be worried, myself, about taking as much as 30 mg. The lowest dose that you can take would be best for the long-term.

Diabeties went away with the vodca. Never took benzos. Have gained a little weight, trying to lose it now. The weight started on when I quit vodca. I've gained about 10 lbs. Oh, and I practiclty quit smoking. Down to less than one cig a day!

Your right, over the last 3 weeks I've gone back to only 10 mg a day, with ocassional extra 10 mg pill.

Its like its not as strong now. I have these crying dreams, and the tv talks to me now, again. Has anyone else noticed zyprexa getting weak? Could it be because I quit drinking a month ago?
