Can remeron be taken with Paxil?

I am considering trying this med as it seems to have a very unique mechanism of action than most meds. over 20 meds haven't worked for my depression and paxil has been what prevents me from living in complete misery.

Looking at ""Recognition and Treatment of Psychiatric Disorders" by Nemeroff and Schatzberg,
i read that not much study has been done on Remeron and its interactions.

Alcohol, diazepam (Valium) and the MAOIs (at least concurrently for 14 days) are to be avoided as they increase psychomotor impairment.

"Drug Interactions"

In vitro mirtazapine is a less potent inhibitor of CYP450 isoenzymes than are SSRIs, but in vivo clinical data are sparse. Use of mirtazapine with CNS depressants (e.g. alcohol, diazepam) may cause additive psychomotor impairement due to pharmacodynamic interactions."......

Pretty sure you can take it with paxil as it's an SSRI and I took it with zoloft. Love Phillipa

Yes I took it with Paxil with no problems.
