I'm just so tired of feeling alone in life fighting this battle against mental issues. I need some support from others who know what its like to live with anxiety, depression, etc. any help would be great

I feel traped I want to get out go to some support groups but I live aleast 45 miles from any in mpls and I get so anxious about going I can't drive there myself and I have no friends that will take me. Current meds are, lexapro 20mgs aday , remeron mgs a day 45, xanax 2 - 4 mgs a day.

What a horrible feeling to know you are so far away. I wouldn't be able to drive that far either. At least babble is always here and we can support you. Do your meds seem to help you? You combo sounds like a good one. But only if it works for you. Love Phillipa more people will answer I'm sure. Are you in the states or Europe?

I don't know that this will work, but you might try contacting one of the groups in Minneapolis (if they have a phone number or an email address) to see if there might be a member living near you who could give a ride to a weekly or monthly meeting. You might also try posting a message on Craig's List to see if you could find someone willing to give you a ride. It's a longshot, perhaps, but maybe, just maybe, you might strike gold. (If you don't know Craig's List, it's a great resource for a lot of things; go to www.craigslist.org and look for the link to Minneapolis.) Good luck.

woops screw that previous reply up, got to love the xanax, My meds keep me stable but not what i would call functional if that makes any sense. I live in minnesota.

I hear you loud and clear!! And, i wish i could take all of your pain away, mine as well. Every person in the world suffering with this illness...i wish i could take away all of their pain. You are not alone...for me, leaning on the Lord is the only way i can carry on. May God bless you and help you!
