Anyone interested in reading about my symptoms?

Posted by kekehuhu on May 30, 2007, at 1:06:13

Among many discomfort symptoms, what bothers me the most are physical symptoms.

It happens almost 90% of time throughout the day which makes me non-functional.

When I sit down in front of computer to use it, my muscles become so tight and painful, especially back of the neck and both shoulders. If I continue, I get very shallow breathing. If it goes further, my feet become numb.

The symptoms above happen when I'm sitting down to read a book in study poisition.

At the end, I end up with feeling of choking and crazy muscle pains.

Standing up does not resolve these symptoms. Once I experience those symptoms, I feel sick throughout the day until I sleep.

If I take 0.5mg of clonezapam, the symptoms decrease or disappear completely.

Does this sound like panic attack or some physical disorder?

Doesn't sound like a panic attack. Maybe just severe GAD? Maybe a side-effect from another drug?

I only take Clonezapam as needed.
No accident or trauma, but I've had upper jaw correcting surgery in 2002. I was on general anesthesia.
I think I've had this symptoms since the surgery but even I couldn't relate these symptoms to the surgery so I could not go to doctor to complain.

The reason I asked is that it reminded me of fibromyalgia symptoms.

How are you sleeping?

I would say it's GAD. Muscle tightness, tiredness and sharp pains are caused by the anxiety. You may not "feel anxious" even. After awhile, the foot numbness and legs falling asleep seem to follow. Your clue should be that clonazepam makes the symptoms go away. I have sure been there. Be well, jflange

Hmmmm, not sure if its fibromyalgia. According to what I read, pressure on certain points on body triggers pain but I don't feel any pain when I press it.

Definately sounds like anxiety and tension to me, I have these symptoms constantly too and they seem to abate when I take Zyprexa. Which is why the symptoms go when you take Klonopin. Also explains why you feel sick with it as well, anxiety makes you feel sick or tense.

The problem is that it is not the sort of anxiety/tension that can be massaged or exercised away, I've tried those things and they don't seem to work.

One more symptom

I forgot to add one more symptom. When I feel such muscle tensions and breathing problem, my throat becomes painful and my voice becomes hoarse.

Your throat becomes sore or tight? If it's tight and you feel you have trouble swallowing, I would still vote for anxiety. If it's sore, I would think more along the lines of an allergy of some sort, perhaps.
I get the hoarse voice when my breathing becomes shallow from anxiety.
Be well, jflange

Have you had a thorough check up to rule out a physical cause?
