From what a lot of posters say serotonin is in the gut explaining the stomach upset. I'm on a different SSRI going up and no appetite maybe it's that? Love Phillipa

I had some nausea and general gastro upset on beginning Lexapro which passed after a few weeks. It was gradual lessening. I experienced symptoms again with a dosage increase and it also lessened at a quicker pace than in the beginning stages.

Additionally, staying well hydrated helped. Not only taking the drug with a full 8 oz water but assuring good hydration.
