RJ,
I don't think you should tell them. They might not understand.

Matt, why would you tell them about PB? Sure, it might help them see a different side of you -- but would PB be of any benefit for them? Or would they benefit PB?
I'd be afraid of some people coming in here and deciding to "have some fun" at our expense. If they're not going to benefit from PB, and they won't provide a benefit to PB, why bother telling them?
If you want to offer them a different perspective on you, why not just write something there about your experiences with anxiety, depression, etc?

rj, No, we have to be protective of the site's integrity and it would be better to give them a site where they can learn abut mental illness, perhaps something like NAMI. PB is too personal that if non-diagnosed people use it they may may trivialize the postings or try and use it in a way that wouldn't be useful for those of us that really need others who are in "their shoes".

You could mention that you post on a bulletin board for people with mood and anxiety disorders without mentioning it by name. That way, your friends could learn a bit more about you, and if by chance any of them experience similar problems, they could ask you privately to refer them to here.
This is the end of the thread.
