Hi guys,I am on 2 mg of Xanax right now. (0.5mg QID)
Though I don't think this is a high dose, I would appreciate if you share your part too. Just consider this as a survey. If you don't mind please answer to Qs.
1. What's your current dosage?
2. How long have you been on it?

Currently 1.75mg. with an occasional (once a week or less) 2mg. I've been at this dose for 2 years. Before that was on 3mg/day, a big difference considering 1mg. xanax is equal to about 20mg. of valium.

I used to take 2-3. Now I take .5 with 20mg of valium so that would equal about 4.5mg. Love Phillipa

.25mg, as needed, can take two if one doesn't work. Had 4 pills in one month. Been on it for a month.

2mg X 3 daily -6mg
for high panic states. I take it during meetings when im fixing im feeling to flip badly. It calms me down so i can can think.
I think i have Exessive GAD, with panic disorder.

rjlockhart,I know you have been on Xanax for a long time. Have you ever been in need of more than say 6mg?
Secondly, are you experiencing any cognitive problems?

I may talk, i usally take 3-6mg for panic attacks, or "derealization" epiodes.
I dont know with this new work i may talk to my doctor about something to help focusing?
Xanax sometimes just zones me out.
