Hey all, just wondering if anyone could tell me if they've had positive experience with abilify. I took prozac for awhile and the anhedonic/sexual side effects never went away after quitting. I've got a lot of weird sensations and physical numbness, like my skin sensation has been bleached out, also pretty flat emotionally. Right now I'm on 300 mg wellbutrin (budeprion xl) and 30 mg remeron (mirtazapine). I think the combo is actually perpetuating the sexual numbness, though for awhile I thought it could help, things have changed for the worse. My doc thinks abilify will help. I'm not so sure.
Has anyone noticed a positive effect with respect to sexuality/pleasure/emotional response with abilify, or with a combo including abilify? I'm not sure where it would fit with what i'm on right now, I think i'd like to get off of either the remeron or the wb. Any thoughts on a combo involving ab + r, ab + wb, or ab alone? Thanks everyone!

I'm on Abilify and Emsam and after adding the Abilify I slowly started to feel more energetic and functional, still not feeling great though, but there was some improvement, but not enough for me to say I'm that I'm in a "good" place yet. I'm still experimenting and added amphetamine to the mix to increase focus and attention, but I'm still struggling with interest, attention and motivation, but it is better than on the Emsam alone.
I want to try Nardil next, either alone or with abilify since it worked many, many years ago and I never retried it again and so many here are seemingly having good results and my results then were good. I need to either prove or dispp rove it's ability to work again, once and for alland put an end to that belief .
Frankly, the initial doses of abilify (2.5) made me dizzy but that subsided rapidly and I went to 5 mg where I felt more motivated and energetic. Now I'm on 5 mg in the am, 5 mg in the afternoon, along with the amphetamine.
It's doing something positive but not enough to claim success yet.

I noticed increased sexual arousal, almost embarasing at times.
