Nortriptyline made me hungry and that's it

Posted by Maxime on April 22, 2007, at 19:51:49

I've ended my Nortriptyline trial. It increased my appetite but did nothing for my depression. If anything it made me it worse because I was dealing with hunger and I gained weight and I hate myself. Having an eating disorder and trying psych meds is more than I can handle.

I need to be thin. I am going to be depressed so I might as well be thin and depressed than fat and depressed.

Now if only I could make myself taller ....

I hate myself so much. Fat ugly pig!

Thank you so much for your display of empathy and understanding. Really it was all too much. I don't deserve it. No really, I can't accept it.

Dear Maxie

........it's ed_uk, this is my new posting name.

I am sorry to hear that nortriptyline didn't help. Weight gain is a definite side effect.

What will you try next? Is Abilify available in your country yet?

Ed

Hi Dimples. :)

I won't try anything next. Abilify isn't available in Canada. I am just one of those people who does not respond to meds. Plus I have all the stuff on top of the depression like the eating disorder.

I'm very suicidal and I hope I get run down by a bus. I am going to keep filling my prescription for the Nortriptyline because I do believe it may come in handy in large quantities. How many grams will it take?

Dear Maxime,

You know we can't answer that here, it's against the rules. Besides, I certainly don't want you to find the answer to that one.

On a personal note, I tried to email you a while back. I know sometimes my emails don't get through, for some reason, and I know that sometimes depression keeps me from responding to emails. If you feel up to it, why not drop me a line? I'll give you another email address, too, which might be easier to use.

I wish I could help, but there's not a lot I can do. I'll do what is in my power, though, to try to help keep you here. You're worth an awful lot, you know.

Racer, on my own behalf

I know you can't answer that question, but I already know the answer ... did some research. It's will take some time to collect enough, but I can be very patient when I have to be.

I never received your emails. It's okay, I am not in the mood for chatting.

Maxime,

Of course you know. You are very bright! I just wish your doctor was a bit brighter and was handing you these meds one week's worth at a time with blood tests to be sure you were taking them.

Please don't give up on life. Wishing you one really happy moment the day you read this.

HUGS,

MidnightBlue

Oh Maxie,

Don't do anything to hurt yourself.

What treatment are you getting for your anorexia at the moment?
