Now that I have been off Lexapro and on Celexa for 8 days, I have to report that there is nothing to report. I feel wonderful. There have been no changes except I am not as sleepy.
If anyone wants to e-mail me with question, please feel free (dianne@scrubcaps4u.com).
This will probably be my last post on the subject unless something unforeseen happens.

When talking about this type of drug, I am sure success stories are few and far between. Fortunately, I did not start taking this because of a perceived psychological disorder. I was having anxiety attacks. Now we realize that the disorder was the reason for the anxiety attack.
I went through 50+ years of hell because no one realized that I had a problem. Just think of all the people that I impacted negatively? That is enough to send me into another panic attack if I weren't on drugs.

Since you were taking it for panic attacks did you have increased start up anxiety when starting either lexapro or celexa? Have you tried any other ssri's? Thank you.

I was actually having anxiety attacks. It caused lots of chest pain that felt like a heart attack. It actually was a muscular tightness from being quite stressed from my business.
Once the doctor realized what it was not -- then what it WAS, he recommended Lexapro. It took about 6-7 days for everything to settle down. Once it did, life has not been the same since.
This is actually the only thing I have ever tried. The only reason I went from Lexapro to Celexa (generic) is because my insurance company forced such a huge co-pay on the Lexapro.
Thank you for your querie.
Dianne
