Saredutant

Does anyone have any updates on recent trials and its efficacy? Sanofi-Aventis gave a press release saying that it had "mixed results" in phase III studies, but that they were hopeful because there were still more studies being conducted... whatever that means! (aka it's a dud)

I came across a thread from a year ago when a posted was involved in a trial. It didn't seem to be great... caused sedation and cloudy thinking and little AD effects.

Has anyone else been enrolled in studies? Can we get specific info from the company regarding study results?

I'm losing hope in the future of pharmaceuticals quickly. :(

JB,
What about the Emsam? We have some similar issues and it is helping me.

Low side-effect potential.

Peace,
Kaye

Well.....

If there are possible side-effects, I'll have 'em, plus a few more than are unheard of!

I see a GP. I'm not about to ask him about this drug. He either won't know what it is, will be afraid of MAOI's, or think it's no good. I don't have any one else I can see. (already went to the only pdoc possible, saw a few other GP's... there are more GP's, but there's no point since he's the most liberal by far)

I'm glad EMSAM is working for you and others, but... I just read a report that was published in the Washington-Post by the CEO of Somerset. He outright admitted at a conference that EMSAM was a "dud".

It doesn't have a great reputation... probably partly because not many people have tried it, some have issues with the patch itself, and some have side effects. It probably hasn't been given a great chance one way or another, but the pharmaceutical company, surprisingly, didn't aggressively market it, which it's a big mistake when you've got all other drugs with huge ad campaigns.

I knowit is still early-on for me but It's the most promising thing I have taken yet.

I am having zero side effects and feel better every day. I am feelin what I imagine 'normal' to be. I am begining to feel like myself again.

I looked in the mirror today, really looked and was motivated to make myself prettier. Up until the last few years I always put some effort into my appearance. I realized today that I have been avoiding my reflection for a long time and how unusual that is for me.

I am feeling so much better without the feeling of being "on" something. I am exhilerated and at the same time so afraid that it will not last.

I will not easily give up on being well no matter what.

Peace,
Kaye
