I've posted before about my skin reactions to Emsam patches. I've tried everything and still get itching and redness to the point where I have to remove the patch after 12-18 hours.
My pdoc has suggested going to an oral MAOI. I would like input on which MAOI would be the best in terms of diet and drug interactions. I'm currently taking Suboxone, Lamictal, Estrace, Provera, Lipitor and prn Seroquel and Trazadone. I use Trazadone to take the edge off the Emsam. I use the Seroquel for sleep. My non-medicated BP is 110/75. My bp has gone up from mixing Emsam and Trazadone but not as much as it went up when taking Effexor. Thanks in Advance.

I believe but will definitely let those on MAO's respond that Nardil is good for anxiety and lowers BP. I'm sure you will get a lot of responses. Did the EMSAM help? And did you try hydrocortisone treatment? And alternate the sites each time. Good luck. Love Phillipa

I've tried cortisone cream, benadryl cream, and neosporin plus. I've been pre-treating and post-treating the site. I alternate bwtween the various places. The problem is that the more I use a site, the worse the reaction. When I use a site for the first time, the reaction is mild but gets worse with use. The medication has helped with mood, altough it has caused increased anxiety and motor movement.

I have to go to work right now, but I went from Emsam to Nardil and if you have any Q's post them and will answer later.
