Is anyone else taking Desipramine? It seems to be working for me some since I stopped ECT two weeks ago, sooner than planned due to cognitive issues. At least I am not feeling more depressed on the medication. I was severely depressed before, and I would assess myself as probably moderately depressed now.

I think SLS is on Nortriptyline, another TCA. But perhaps that has changed since he last gave his menu. I wrote them down in January just in case I needed an unusal combination. He was on:
Nardil 75
Nortrip 150
Lamictal 100
Topomax 100
Abilify 10 (my latest fav)I think I'll inquire of him what has changed if anything.

Evidently it is one of the best combos out there. Read this particular page on his website (near bottom) and Dr. Ken answers emails. You just have to keep Qs very short.

I love Ken! He has trouble typing, so keep it really short. He also makes his living consulting- he'll review your records and talk to you on line and tell you what to look into trying. He really knows his stuff, very famous in the Doctor world. And cheap for the good he'll do you.
He really is a bonafide world expert on MAOIs, and the go to guy in poisonings by bad drug mixes. And absolutely delightful.
