still not feeling well

Posted by suebird on April 2, 2007, at 11:36:00

It has been almost 12 days since my gall bladder surgery and im still not feeling good can't decide if its from the removal of my gall bladder or if its my anxiety thats making me feel sick to my stomach. I did go to the p-doc and he told me to take a little more klnopin to help so i have and he said if i was doing great before the operation I will be like that again, I hope it happens real soon. I have a 25th wedding anniversay on april 14th and my daughter and husband with my baby grand daughter are flying in to stay at our house so i want to be feeling better. Can I get some help. Thanks Suebird

did you have the ordinary gallbladder surgery or the new and improved where there isn't so much trauma? either way, you should be feeling a bit better by now.........

are you really anxious about not feeling well? that could be it.......klonopin is good and i'd give it time to ease the edges off.......i think you're going to be fine when your events come around............pat

football why should I go to the hospital I have been there already twice and once for the removal of the gall bladder then I went back a few days later when i came down with the coltis from the antibotics I just want to feel better before my big events coming up and my Daughter flying from florida. I want to feel like I did before the surgery I was feeling really good. Now my stomach is alway in my throat.
But my p-doc seems to think I will be like that again i just dont undrstand why this happens to me after im operated on. ( HELP )

Sue, sometimes chemicals that trigger inflammation after surgery also trigger depression and anxiety. I've forgotten what they're called now, but I'm sure someone else will be able to find a link. Some antibiotics aggravate depression and the mental stress of the operation can also provoke a relapse.
