I've been taking Remeron at 45mg for the past three months or so. This last week I've really taken a nose-dive back into depression. The most disturbing part has been increasingly negative dreams at night. I mean dreams have always been vivid on Remeron but I'd classify them lately as nightmares.
Just curious if anyone else noticed a similar change in dreams when (and if) Remeron started pooping out. I've heard it has a tendency to do so rather quickly and I'm wondering if it's my time to switch again.
For the record I also take Depakote (500mgER), Lithium (600mg), and Trilifon (8mg).

I always dream a lot- when I go into a bad patch of depression the dreams become very negative, and I have more nightmares. I tried Remeron very briefly and it gave me very vivid dreams too- disturbingly so; they felt real. Could it be that what you are getting is simply the 'normal' depression effect? I.e. depression is causing you to have a lot of unsettled dreams/ nightmares; only because you are taking Remeron, which causes your dreams to be more vivid, the nightmares are more vivid too... just an idea.

I never had the dreams on Remeron that you speak of, so I can't answer to that.
But I was on Remeron for 2 years, and it never pooped out on me. It was like the Energizer Bunny on tv....it kept going and going and going. Lol. It never let me down. The only thing it DID do was slow my metabolism down so much that it didn't matter if I ate a whole cupboard full of food or just a small plateful of food....I gained weight. A lot of it.
You may want to increase your dose just to see what happens, if you have been happy with the results other than the dreams. I was on 60 mg daily, so maybe that will make a difference in your dream state.
Good luck.
God bless,
Sandy
