Well, in the last 2 weeks or so I have tried, luvox, klonopin, paxil, xanax, and now seroquel. I have anxiety/ocd/sleep issues.
I became worse on every med. Seroquel is causing akithisa to some degree so it looks like it is out. I can't describe the jittery feeling I had almost all day today. It was like a skin crawling anxiety. Luvox started this lovely trend I have had.
I am worn down because of these trials and have lost weight. At least I was getting 4 to 6 hours of sleep and eating well off of meds. Now I am becoming non-functional. I think I need a new strategy.

>AD's may not start working till 4-8 weeks. Side effects are often worse the first few weeks, for AD's.

2 weeks isn't enough time for most ADs to work, although it is enough time for the adjustment phase side effects to be bothersome. When starting an SSRI, for instance, I've had jitters, diarrhea (sorry for the overshare), weight loss, sleep disturbances, etc. Mostly, they go away in a couple of weeks. During the time I've gone through them, of course, it's seemed worthless -- miserable, with no benefit? Pah!
Once your body adjusts, though, some of those drugs can be quite friendly. It might be worth asking your doctor about giving one or another a second try. Klonopin and Xanax are benzos, so they'll have an immediate effect and then wear off. Luvox and Paxil are SSRIs, so they'll take a few weeks to kick in. Generally, the rule is to evaluate the response after six weeks. If there's no response whatsoever, try another med. If there's a modest response, raise the dose. With SSRIs, a lot of people go through a small adjustment phase again at every dose increase. Forewarned is forearmed, though, right?
Good luck. I hope you find a good solution for you.
