Added a low dose of Lithium 300mg to Lamictal that I have been on for years (200mg),and was able to cut effexor dose from 300mg to 150mg. Can't get over how I feel like my old self. I feel a sense of peace and normalcy. I forgot what it was like to feel whole again. Got my sex drive back, more intense orgasm. My husband is thrilled and a happy man!!! I have more energy and not sitting around as much. Enjoying cooking again. Got my recipe books out. The old me always loved to cook different dishes. I started to lose weight from decreasing Effexor too. The Lithium has no side effects at a lower dose. Many thanks to Maximus for the inspiration and advice. Who knows, maybe I can eventually lower Effexor even more, however may need to increase the Lithium. I will stay under Lithium blood level norms to avoid side effects. Just wanted to spread the good news, and hopefully this will help some of my fellow babbler's

If you are feeling great I don't think I would change anything. It sometimes feels good to lower doses but if I find something that works I won't be tinkering too much. Enjoy feeling good.

I don't plan on tinkering. Will stay at my current med regime. In no rush at all. Cutting back on the effexor has kept the mild cycling at bay. Of course the Lithium helps with that too.Thanks Johnnyj
