Parnate is kicking in!

Posted by Crazy Horse on March 11, 2007, at 18:35:22

It took 2 weeks but Parnate is working for me again, and so far without any insomnia. Man, it feels good to finally feel good for a change. I'm on 80 mgs., i take it all in the morning to help prevent insomnia. My complete cocktail is Parnate 80 mgs., Klonopin 1 mg. bid, and Lyrica 300 mgs. bid. I also take trazodone 200mgs. at bedtime. Just wanted to share my success. :)

What exactly does Parnate give you like the change feeling.

Prozac for me is a little but not much.

Is it stimulating? i've heard many times paranate causes bad side effects later on in the day.

What can you not eat on Parnate....

The feeling it gives me is a warm, kind of stimulating effect..a very pleasent feeling to me. The only side effect that i get later in the day is a little fatigue.

Basically as far as diet goes no aged foods; most cheeses, lunch meats, etc. Also no decongestants and no demerol.

Hey thats good to hear ! Few questions/thoughts,you say you take your dose all in the morning, which is common, but what id like to know is are you saying you actualy take a SINGLE 80 MG dose,or do you mean you break it up,i.e ....40 mg....then 40 maybe an hour late.

Im not the smallest guy,and have used it a while, and i wont or should say prob cant go a single 80 mg dose,so if you can,WOW,tell me ur secret.

Also i notice, and maybe its me,that regardless of dose,a single dose simply dies down approx 5 hrs later, taking your entire dose that early,do you not feel the need for anything late in the evening around 6pm i mean is it still pumping the parnate at that time.

Last how in the world are you able to avoid INSOMNIA,you made some major achievaments in my book, anyway if you taking any additional substances please share,i take most of my dose in the am as well, but the highest ill go in a sinle dose is 50,from there i can keep going but i would need at least 40 min to let that dose settle in.

Hope this made sense.

Monte, do you ever think you'll be able to ween off the other drugs, and just take Parnate and Klonopin?

Finallly, if I haven't done this already, thank you for always responding to my posts. I think the world of you and your opinion. Thanks for caring. Michael

Hey Willyee,

Yea, i break it up 50mgs. at 7:00 a.m., and about 2-3 hrs. later another 40mgs.

Not having insomnia is blowing me away...i fully anticipated getting it. Maybe because it hasn't 'fully' kicked in yet? I don't know, but i'm sure loving it!

Here's my nightime formula: At 6:00 i take 1mg. of klonopin, and 1 hr. before i go to bed i take 200 mgs. of trazodone, and 100 mgs. of lyrica. I'm not only sleeping, but i am sleeping very well..sure hope it lasts.

About it (Parnate) dieing down in the evening, it kind of does but not so much that the depression returns ...maybe the fact that it does die down is why i am sleeping?

Your very welcome Michael, i do care. I'm anxious to see if you are going to try Nardil.

As far as weening off the other meds, i need the lyrica for problems with chronic pain, and taking Parnate without some kind of sleep aid (Trazodone for me) is pretty much unheard of, so my answer to these two drugs would be no. I am however thinking of reducing or going off Klonopin (i'm on 2 mgs. bid), but for now i just want to feel well for awhile and not 'rock the boat.' :)

Very cool,i thought i was a weak link,i think thats about perfect,50 mg plus ....... its about what i do,only in a shorter lentgh.

Far as evening goes,i suppose life style can be a factor,i.e does one smoke, the stress in the day etc,

Youre totaly right about needing a sleep aid,i would not even toy that thought, and your sleeping well.......hell dont dare change it.

It is also very common that people use klonopin or some anxiety angent, parnate upregualtes gaba,so it does affect gaba,it will accumalte and not using a anxiety agent....klonopin or neurontion far as i know actualy being the highest recomended,is not ideal,in fact i heard a few times over that a parnate-benzo-neurontion-your case lyrcia combo is pretty much close to if not POSSABLY more effective than nardil as you avoid the dreaded side efffects.

Not to be graphic, but watch out for delayed orgasism, yeah kinda sucks, but the solider on parnate ALWAYS rises to duty,so at least you please ur parnater,id much rather have the latter problem as it only effects me,where as if it simply dident rise,it would effect both me and my parnater, anyway

Parnate...KlONOPIN.....TRAZADONE.....LYRCIA SOUNDS PERFECT and about as safe as you could get,id keep it right there.

p.s Parnate is also mentioned in the book of SMART DRUGS AND NUTRIENTS as neuro protective,as well as releases GH,i def believe it releases GH as the time im on it i have decreased workouts and cant stop growing in width its really something, you might want to throw around some weights, even light ones if u can,or swim.

I do have delayed orgasm, but no problem attaining an erection-my wife doesn't seem to mind the delay..lol.

Very interesting about the GH, you think i'd still build muscle at age 48?

You better believe it,personaly id recomend getting into lap swimming deeply, making it a habbit and passion, swimming gently,or as u pace it builds on all the muscles with resistence as well of offers cardio.

Running, treadmill etc,im not a huge fan of,simple because of the strong effect it has on the heart.People will disagree, but i can see someone with a weak heart having a crisis trying to jog.

Weight lifting is great cause u control the resistence, just make sure you either know urself what ur doing or have someone work with you who knows how to approach a introduction to lifting, its a scieance and body biulders sure dont get enough credit, theyd make peoples head spin off with the knowledge they have about the human body.

But swimming is a great choice in my opinion.Went high like you on parnate early am,might skip my second dose so that is good, just have this racing....HAVE TO BE PRODUCTIVE STATE OF MIND....when i just have the feeling of wanting nothing more than to take a nice walk.

Guess ill keep trying.Cheers.

Yea, i'm an 'old athlete' lol, but i haven't lifted in years. I see where you said you can bench 300 lbs., that's awesome! Most i did (about 24 yrs. ago) was 270. My brother 6 years younger than me used to be really into weights/lifting..he actually benched 440 lbs. free weight when he was about 35, and this is 100% steroid free. He's (well, he used to be) pretty big, about 5'9" 255 lbs.

Have a good one. Hey, i really like your advice about swimming, i think that would be the way to start out. Thanks.
