'Killer K'

Posted by Squiggles on March 6, 2007, at 16:58:16

I may have made a great error in referring to
clonazepam by this name, due to my very dangerous
withdrawal attempt. All variable were not considered compared to my friend now (see withdrawal section post). I am so embarrassed. I wish I someone had told me and I am sorry if I have frightened posters unnecessarily here.

Unless i am mistaken about the neurophysiology
of bipolar disorder, i would say that there are
2 variables which i left out of the equation.
This led me to believe that it was the nature of clonazepam itself, which precipitating seizures and or stroke, was unique among benzos. The two variables in contrast to my friend's situation which i think are significant are:

TIME - duration of taking was 10 yrs for me, and ony about 1 year for my friend;

FREQUENCY of DOSE - I was taking K every day for those 10 yrs. or so.

It can be frustrating when you don't know what is going to happen with medication treatment. Certainly, there are camps which encourage and profligate ill-considered conclusions. But when ignorance and lack of proof is all around, anything follows.

Squiggles don't beat yourself up . At least you don't mess up like I do. Love Phillipa who at this point has no idea what you're talking about. So I guess it's on withdrawal right?

Yup. It's easier to withdraw from K
after 1 year than after 10. That is
something that should be mentioned on
benzo withdrawal help groups.

Possibly but even a year is a long time. Might be the same? Love Phillipa

Someone probably has done the statistics.
The Merck says, the longer you take them
the harder it is to get off. I think they
are reliable, but as you say there may be
variations.

I found it:

K'S CHOICE LYRICS

"Not An Addict"

Breathe it in and breathe it out
And pass it on, it's almost out
We're so creative, so much more
We're high above but on the floor

It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive
If you don't have it you're on the other side

The deeper you stick it in your vein
The deeper the thoughts, there's no more pain
I'm in heaven, I'm a god
I'm everywhere, I feel so hot

It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive
If you don't have it you're on the other side
I'm not an addict (maybe that's a lie)

It's over now, I'm cold, alone
I'm just a person on my own
Nothing means a thing to me
(Nothing means a thing to me)

It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive
If you don't have it you're on the other side
I'm not an addict (maybe that's a lie)

Free me, leave me
Watch me as I'm going down
Free me, see me
Look at me, I'm falling and I'm falling.

It is not a habit, it is cool I feel alive I feel...
It is not a habit, it is cool I feel alive

It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive
If you don't have it you're on the other side
I'm not an addict (maybe that's a lie)
I'm not an addict...
