So I saw my psychiatrist today and I am so shattered. For the first the time I think he could finally SEE that no, I am NOT okay.
So picked a med for me to try:ludiomil. It's a tricyclic.
I don't suppose anyone has been on it?

Ummm for one night only. Maxie I was working and was in a twilight sleep the whole night. So I stopped it. You'll do find. Love Phillipa ps that was years ago

Its a second generation tricyclic, technically some say its a tetracyclic, it also affects D2 and 5HT2, sort of in a way like Amoxapine, which is also a tetracyclic, so is Remeron (which doesn't affect D2).
Its a rather dispositive name to put to a compound, who knows where they came up with that one (its called different things elsewhere in the world I believe.)

At this point has you doctor even considered about Desoxyn for the severe depression?
Are you still seeing the old doctor that told you to put "happy thoughts" under you pillow or something. I would of been like, thats it....
Maxime, i've known you for a while, if i was your doctor, you would already be on some kinda of psychostimulant with antidepressant. Or opiate... at this point.
Try to think of something conforting that gets depression away, which it seems really to be you enenmy. Think of something that is comforting....create an escape in you head. Well i dont want to be like you last doc about that under the pillow stuff, i would start beating the pillow.

Thanks to *everyone* who responded.
I am only on 25 mg ludiomil right now so that's a low dose. I don't know if it's making me tired because I am exhausted from the thorazine I took last night to help me sleep.
Yes, I am still seeing the same pdoc and that will not change. We are short 250 psychitrist where I live. My pdoc will not let me try an opiate and I actually I don't know if I want to go down that path.
I still take Adderall XR 30 mg.
I hope this med doesn't knock me out because my head is so foggy to begin with.

I left for a bit because I was very sick and I was really fed up with PB. But it's nice to see you!

Thanks for all the info. I thought it worked maily on NE for some reason. If it's going to affect D2 I will lactate on it. Oh joy.Maxime

Matt, you are right. I have been in a deep depression for years now.
Still the same Pdoc. He is not keen on stimulants, but he has prescribed Adderall XR which I have been taking. Opiates are out of the question. Been on just about every AD out there.
My pdoc has suggested recording "happy thoughts" and playing them while I sleep. I guess it could work for some people, but not for someone like me who has insomnia! LOL!
