For some reason this stuff is a controlled substance, but I can't really see it being addictive..basically, its a mixture of modified chloral hydrate plus tylenol, plus I think some caffeine. Very effective, but makes me stupid. Fioricet/fiorinal are also very effective (especially the one w/ codeine), but those are considered old school and they have butisol in them, which makes some docs want to go for newer drugs first....

Good luck.

Something like Advil or Aleve is an excellent start for a bad headache, even for a migraine. You don't always need prescription meds.

Kicks my migraines. Well, that and sleep. But something about the tylenol, aspirin, and caffeine mix is really effective.

I'm sorry, could you remind what your meds are? I've personally found some meds can cause headaches, so that's why I wonder.

By the way, I really hurt my stomache from using too much advil when I was on lamictal and it gave me headaches.
Now, if I take 2 advil, I am guarenteed stomache ache and nausea for about 2-3 days. I think you might want to be judicious when you use it, not go nuts with it daily for several months at a time, like I did, not knowing any better. Use it just those times you really need it.
