I am taking paxil 40mg per day since 12 days plus xanax xr 3mg per day for GAD, TOC and dysthymia.
What SSRI or SNRI is the best to mix with wellbutrin for depression, anxiety, sexual anhedonia and other sexual side effects induced by the SSRIs, without having dangerous interactions?
Effexor XR, Luvox, Paxil,...?

Effexor and Wellbutrin sound like a disaster to me, but then I guess I don't respond well to stimulants. Effexor is more unclean and more powerful than Cymbalta and Wellbutrin is a very distant cousin of an amphetamine. But who knows, some people respond to stimulants well.
I wish I knew what TOC was to better help you, I thought I knew all the acronyms. The paxil sounds like a good choice for GAD, its a sedating SSRI so it could be good for both mild depression (dysthymia) and anxiety.
Now I'm confused about the question of which is best to mix with Wellbutrin, because it sounds like you want to change from Paxil ? If you're doing well on it, I would think you should stick it out for more than 12 days. That's the part I'm trying to parse in the question.
A low dose of Wellbutrin is a popular choice though if you're talking about sexual side effects from Paxil that some psychiatrists add to the mix to reduce that troublesome problem because it tends to be pro-sexual (don't get me started -- I got quite aroused when I was taking Wellbutrin though it set my head on fire and made my OCD worse.)
Another choice though that you have, since Paxil I believe has the shortest half life of the SSRIs or at least ranks among them, is to skip a dose or two, when you want to plan a ... moment. Then you just start the Paxil back up again.-- tidings

The combination of Zoloft and Wellbutrin has been touted in the past. It even has a special pet name: Welloft. You might google it...
I too have heard good things said about combining Effexor and Wellbutrin, although I feel sick just thinking about it. The only psychotropic medication that I could never handle was Effexor; I found it overstimulating, and I simply cannot imagine adding Wellbutrin on top of it. But other people don't seem to have that problem.
Finally, I believe Scott aka SLS is quite knowledgeable on this exact topic of SSRI / SNRI + Wellbutrin. When I was researching this possibility in the past, I read many of his posts in the Psycho-Babble archives.

I just want to add a bit of wellbutrin to the paxil, for the sexual anhedonia produced by this SSRI.
I took paxil 8 years from 1998 to March of 2006, and it was well until the sexual side effects was too bad in the last year, and I decided in March of 2006 to prove another antidepressants but I didn't find one as good as paxil, so now I have decided to back to paxil, and I need to know if there are dangerous interactions between the two drugs.

Thank you Phillipa, yxibow and Klavot.

I use a low dose of Cymbalta (20mg) with 150 mg of Wellbutrin daily.
When I was on 300mg of Wellbutrin instead, I was also taking Ativan on a regular basis. At the current lower WB dose, I've now gone a week without taking any Ativan. The anxiety problems that had been plaguing me seemed to just disappear about 3 weeks after setting my Wellbutrin dose at 150mg instead of 300mg.
I have had sexual side effects from just 20mg of Cymbalta, but the Wellbutrin reverses most of them.

I took Celexa, Wellburin and Adderall together for awhile and had pretty good results. I tried to switch Celexa to Lexapro and did not like the effects, but Celexa worked ratherr well for my depression...Stargazer
