I've been on Lyrica 300 mgs. bid for about 5 mos. for depression and anxiety. It was/has been working very well until just recently i have noticed it is starting to lose some of it's effectiveness. My guess and pdoc's guess is (once again!) tolerance.
Anyone have any ideas? Augmentation perhaps? I wonder if my pdoc would consider going higher than 600 mgs. a day, has anyone heard of people using Lyrica at doses of 900-1200mgs. a day?
Any suggestions/ideas will be very much appreciated.

My hunch from my experience with Lyrica is that you might experiment with a holiday. I have found that Lyrica's punch returns with occasional breaks.

I am have these same issues with Lyrica and I am tired of it!
About the time I get used to a certain dose and schedule the stuff a few times and it seems to demand an increase. I have backed off it several times and experienced tolerance dissappear for a time.
I have never taken more than 300mg total per day.
But I am seriously planning on getting off this stuff soon. Between short acting stims and Lyrica I feel like a high maintenance junkie.
I will just panic if I find myself without it when It's time to take it because I can go from great to white dog doo in about 60seconds. Up and down.
I feel like I am an addict.
I am scared of the witdrawel-it has a nasty one for me. Instant black depression and makes me feel ill. Just like a hangover.
Peace,
Kaye
