Positive Results Taking Effexor XR

Posted by Safety on January 18, 2007, at 11:44:44

I've been reading a lot of negative comments regarding Effexor XR and was very nervous about taking it, but so far I've been doing quite well. I started taking 75 mg. back in October and moved up to 150 mg. last week. Initially, I wasn't so sure about it, but after a couple of weeks the "start-up" effects went away and my mood was better. The 150 is making me feel very good so far, although I will say my head is a bit foggy at times. My guess is that will subside over time like the other initial effects did. Anybody else having success with this drug and what can I expect in the future?

It has worked for me, and done good things, but the side effects (dizzyness, and foggy head) never went away, and so now I'm trying to get off it, and it's not going as horribly as I thought (I had a mega bad time when I started), it's not sure fun. I am so tired...

How long have you been taking it and what dosage are you on?

It must have worked fairly well then, to be on it for that long. My start-up effects were minimal, so I'm hoping it's going to continue to work well for me. I'm growing tired of trying new things.
