Geodon is my last ditch attempt to stay on "cocktail" before discontinuing prozac (3wks) then wellbutrin (2wks) to try parnate. Am scared to death of depression during discontinuation.
Has anyone started on 20 mgs of geodon feeling completely spaced out in a very unpleasant way, like id been up all night. Did it get better? I'm on day 9 and I don't think I can stand many more days like this.

I'd say discontinue it. 20mgs is a low dose, so if you hate the way you feel on a tiny dose, higher doses will only make it worse.

Thanx for your response. I feel like i have been up all night, like a have the 10,000 yard stare. I feel wired and completely out of it, like no emotions. i feel like i'm not myself at all.
My pdoc recommendated giving it 2wks (at 40mg.) I'd ditch it but I'm really afraid of the transition to Parnate, which might not even work... ug. This stuff is so hard. Sometimes I think there are no gd choices.

I'm so out of it I got the dosage wrong. I'm taking 40mg. But I think your advice still makes sense.

Geodon did not help me sleep, so I took a small dose of zyprexa with it. Its a good combo. But now I take abilify with zyprexa.
