Hi all,
I'm trying to treat my post ssri sexual dysfunction (www.ssri-side-effects.com) which has been going on for close to two years since quitting prozac. I started wellbutrin XL 150mg about 3 weeks ago...so far with minimal benefit and maybe even some sse of it's own.
My pdoc wants to go up to 300mg (though he believes it is actually depression causing the problem...not quite, though the problem has had me depressed for awhile). My question is for people who've used wb specifically for sexual sides...is any dose/formulation best, i.e. SR vs. XL, 150 vs. 300? I can imagine a higher dose carrying the risk of both increased OR decreased function/libido...
Any thoughts? All greatly appreciated, this problem has been devastating in the truest sense of the word. Thanks.

I've got no experience, but I'd been curious about Wellbutrin after reading a bit about it:

The experience reports are interesting if you don't mind weeding through the reports were people mix or out and out abuse (insufflate, etc) it.

I found 300 mg XL very sexually stimulating compare to 150...but I had to drop to 150 mg due to intense periods of fearfulness.

Bassman, did you ever try a benzo with the wb to help with the anxiety/fear? The few times I've used ativan have helped a lot.

Bassman me too. In the day I felt as if the whole world was coming at me too intensely and my pupils were dilated, or felt like it. Luckily Xanax counteracted it Fred
