Okay, I know this sounds weird, but when I get my perscription renewed I feel icky for a couple days then it goes away. Like I'm readjusting to it. I just got my effexor perscription renewed, but this time it's worse than ever. I'm feeling horrible. I don't if this is common or if it's just me, any ideas?

Do you take multiple effexor (tablet? pills?)? Maybe you can mix the new ones in with the previous month so that any slight change in concentration is not quite so marked.
Other ideas- does Rx refil occur during a particular time in your monthly cycle? It could just be pure coincidence.
I only feel bad after Rx refill if the pharmacist was being an idiot, or if I have trouble making time in my schedule to pick up my refill.
Also, everytime you pick up a refill, maybe it makes you feel more powerless, or reminds you of some other times when you had to pick up prescriptions and you were feeling really ill? Could be classical conditioning?

Gee did you really look at the pills? To make sure they are really effexor? Pharmacies make mistakes. Just check okay? Love Phillipa

Yeah, I've looked, and they really are the real thing.
Linden, maybe you're right about it being a classical conditioning, but usually I pick it up a few weeks before I need it because I"m horrible at gauging how much it left. It' sjust so weird that it's so horrible this time. I get it filled for 2 or 3 months at time, could that be why?
