I’m taking seroquel for a year now and dont feel great
It used to work at dosage of 75 mg in 20 days and not 365 days, I am so angry, I just know that someone I know a girlfriend might have killed herself…. Also problems with meds,I just want to quit them all man, and restart on 75 mg, I don’t know why I don’t feel great, I take it for 400 days … this is f*cked up… sorry
I’m afraid I wanna give up, it wont be a good Christmas after all for me…
Why take a drug that cures me for 365 if it doesn’t help, and when I took it for 20 days it worked….
i'm on seroquel, Seroxat 30 mg, and tranxene
i'm very sad, seroquel used to cure me, and now nothing... i'm sick of it
i also have tardive dyskinesia, dystoniahave a great day

I wish blessings upon you.
When you say you don't feel great, could you please describe your symptoms as detailed as possible? And when seroquel works, how do you feel? Again, with as many details as possible. And what is the history behind the other medds? What do they do for you? These things will help fellow babblers come up with ideas.
Also, depending on your symptoms, there may well be some fast short-term, as well as longterm, fixes over on the alternative board.

I'm a little confused: is it schizophrenia? Schizoaffective disorder? Bipolar? Bipolar with psychotic features? Depression with psychotic features? The treatments for each of those might be a little different, so the more information you can give, the more helpful the advice here can be.
Also, regardless of what your actual diagnosis is, what are your symptoms? Which symptoms are the most troublesome for you? Sometimes one gets the best results by treating symptoms, without worrying too much about what the diagnosis is.
And what other medications have you tried? Have any of them helped? Which ones helped most with which symptoms?
I'm sorry you're feeling so rotten, I know how hard it can be, when meds aren't helping. It's easy to feel like giving up. Hard as it is, though, I'd like to try to help you hang on until you find something that helps more. It is possible, you know.
Good luck!

>Jeroen, i am sorry you are having such a hard time right now. I think most babblers have felt like giving up at times, i personally know i have more times than i care to remember. But, you just have to hold on during these times..although it is hard to see right now, there will be many good times ahead for you. Medications just keep getting better and better. I believe there are meds right now that can turn your frown upside down, it just takes some patience and perseverance to find the right cocktail for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you Jeroen.

Hi Jeroen,
I take 300mg seroquel. I have intrusive thoughts related to trauma and depression. No psychosis, but some hallucinations.I think that 75 mg is considered a very low dose for controlling psychosis. Even at 300mg, seroquel is not likely to cause dyskinesias or dystonias. (I asked)
Can you try going up to 100mg?
I'm sorry you're feeling so bad. Please take care of yourself.
