Hello. I am wondering if anyhone has had any luck taking Lexapro with Wellbutrin or another SSRI Anti-Depressant and Wellbutrin for Anxiety and Depression?
I am currently taking Zoloft with Wellbutrin but I am not sure it is right for me. My Psychiatrist mentioned Lexapro with Wellbutrin and I am thinking of giving that a try.
If anyone has taken either Lexapro or another SSRI along with Wellbutrin, would you mind sharing what dosage you took of each and for how long? I am really having a very rough time and feel it's time to make a change.

Hi,
I just started taking Wellbutrin two days ago. I've been taking Lexapro for about two years, and a couple months ago I went from 10 mg to 20 mg because my depression was coming back. That didn't work as well as I had hoped, and so I just started the Wellbutrin - 150mg for a week, then up to 300mg a day. I'm hoping it works.Good luck with your decision!

wellbutrin did not help enhance the effects of lexapro for me
wellbutrin flattens out the world for me
lexapro and celexa are the only 2 AD's that after many others, worked great
but then they stopped
just got off the phone with someone who said that i should have my md do a full thyroid panel and that sometimes T3 hormone will help with the AD
also, some people seem to think that Lamictal might do it
i am going to look into this with my md ans my med doctor and i are on a meltdown too

I started on Remeron... it pooped out after about a week, but it was helping me sleep and eat, so I am still taking 60 mg.
Then added Wellbutrin XL 300 mgs, which does nothing really, but helps mitigate the sexual side effects of Lexapro.
Then added Lexapro ... titrated up to 20 mg. It has been working very well, though I have been having a string of bad days, so I am afraid it is pooping out on me.
My doc says I might be an extensive metabolizer. My liver seems to find a way to chew right through my meds. It makes sense... even on all these meds (including Naltrexone), I can still drink like a friggin fish.
