Geodon poops out over over-plateau?

Posted by 4WD on September 28, 2006, at 22:19:22

I started Geodon on a very low dose since I'm generally med sensitive. 20mg at night. It was like a miracle. By three days later, my horrible fear was almost gone and I was much less depressed. But after two weeks, it all started seeping back. So I went up to 30mg. A good week on that and then up to 40mg (20mg twice a day). Now it's starting to poop out again.

It's weird. It's like I need to take it three times a day. The calming effect seems to wear off in 8-9 hours and I'm left scared again. But once I up it, I'm okay again for a couple of weeks.

Do I just have to keep upping it forever? What happens when I can't up it any more?

Marsha

Hi Phillipa,

No it's okay. I'm just glad to have had 5 weeks of feeling almost normal. I guess I will just keep upping the dosage as long as I can.

I'm sorry you aren't doing well. I read your earlier post. Have you tried any of the APs? Zyprexa helped a lot - if I weren't bulimic I guess I'd still be on it. (It made me binge again). I guess the Luvox isn't doing it for you.

Thank you for answering. '

Marsha
