I've been searching the web for lamictal but most articles are about bipolar disorder. I've found alot more searchng this forum, i must have read over a hundred posts. As usual, it works for some people but not for others. If anyone has some good links to articles about lamictal and treatment resistant and/or recurring unipolar depression please post it.
Please share your experience with lamictal and unipolar/recurring depression/BPII, what other meds do you take, lamictal dose etc. I've been taking lithium together with remeron and zoloft if i remember correctly, lithium did absolutely nothing for me, did not lift depression nor did it prevent relapses. That's why i'm very interested in lamictal, both as an antidepressant and as a mood stabilizer./Mattias

Mattias for trd. I got to only 50mg. I had excess salivation. I looked it up it was an uncommon side effect. But I was spitting constantly opening the car door or walking around with a glass. So I went off it. Oh it made me angry too. Love Phillipa

I just finished a course of lamictal today. I'm very disappointed. At 200 mg/day for 6 weeks, I felt no effect whatsoever. Not a single side effect, and not a single therapeutic benefit. I could have been taking sugar pills for all I know.
Now that I've been on lithium, depakote, and lamictal, my doctor's basically given up on treating the BP, and has decided to go back to treating the depression. So here I am, back on another of the endless ADs.
