I've been taking 675mg for a few days accidentally. (I swear) I feel somewhat dopey, but no different otherwise.
For those of you taking high dosages of this stuff, how long did it take for you to see any antidepressant results? At what dosage did you first start feeling anything positive? Did you feel better gradually?

Ack!I was just starting to lose some of the weight that nortriptyline has put on me.
I have gained weight.

Sorry i didn't answer this sooner..was busy all week-end. For myself (and also for Marty) at 300 mgs. all at once, there was a very noticable antidepressant effect. Up to that point i felt sedated. When i got to 500 mgs., 300 mgs. a.m., 200 mgs. at 1:00 p.m.. BAM!! It was a huge unmistakable improvement in energy, pro-socialism, motivation, and the ability to enjoy life. Now at 300 mgs. b.i.d., this drug has changed my life (as i have mentioned many times before) i feel good 24/7. Energetic, motivated, happy. and very pro-social. As always, this is what Lyrica has done FOR ME. I wish i could guarantee the same results for everyone. Good Luck.

Scott, i was just thinking, try taking 500 to 600 mgs. all at once to see if you notice an improvement. Marty, has studied Lyrica (pregabalin) more extensively than i have, and some people need a much higher dose than 300 b.i.d., and many take 600 all at once. Good luck, and let me know how it makes you feel. Also Lyrica is VERY SAFE, almost impossible to O.D. on.

My 2 cents.... After two months I'm still at 150mg b.i.d. I've experimented with doses as high as 900mg at one time and I find even one 300mg dose leaves me feeling altered--spacey and energized at the same time. Weight gain has leveled off. Lyrica is currently my only psych. med. It's given me my sleep back, stabilizes my mood and cut my anxiety. I'm thinking to add modafinil to counter Lyrica's negative affect on my memory.

In addition to my above posts on/about Lyrica, and this applies to all psycho tropic meds as far as i am concerned; ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL!
