During the day I experience this feeling that just leaves me flat, unmotivated, and really only attracted to sleep. At first I thought it was ssri's making me flat, but being off them for months, it's still there. It doesen't feel like typical depression, it's just that I don't feel like doing anything, talking to anyone. It seems to disapear during the night, but this has persisted for so long, and just interferes with so many things. I just feel flat and unmotivated, dull, drained of life on drugs or off drugs.. I just really don' tknow what to do

Do you feel better at night? If you do my doc says it's a sign of depression. Did the meds you took help you? Love Phillipa

The meds I took seemed to make it worse. The swings would be more rapid. I would feel WORSE during the day, and I would feel almost manic during the night

So are you bipolar? Another thing would be social anxiety. For me I like night time better because it seems more peaceful... no people. And it can also cause depression. Just a thought.

no i'm not bi polar, i don't think the swings are extreme enough. I never ever use to be like this before being on medication, I felt it just put everything off balance. (by the way ive been of everything since last july)

Have you considered you might have cyclothymia induced by antidepressants?

Michael okay what caused you to go on meds? Love Phillipa And what are those meds. You haven't said yet. It's hard to help someone when you don't know the meds they're on and the doseages.

Could be anhedonia, which is what I have. Most psychiatrists like to group it with depression, but it carries specific symptoms like you are describing. I would focus on DA/NE medications. I am waiting to try Emsam myself.

I think that could be a possibility, what are the symptoms, and triggers?
I was first put on paxil 20 mg for depression, I felt that it screwed up my personality.. so I went off it, and I felt even more duller -- like the life had been sucked out of me. Things just weren't the same.. I didnt' feel the same. 3 ssri's later.. same thing. I was most recently on prozac 10 mg.. i weened off. felt fine for about a couple months. now this
