HEY. I HAVE PANIC DISORDER. I HAD BEEN ON KLONOPIN 1 MG. UP TO 5 TIMES A DAY. BUT WAS STILL SOMEWHAT ANXIOUS. I SAW A NEW DOC AND HE WANTS TO TAKE ME OFF IT AND WE'RE DOING THE 2MG. XANAX XR AND DOWN TO APX. 3MG. OF KLON. THRU OUT THE DAY. I FEEL MORE ANXIETY NOW THAN BEFORE. I'VE STARTED HAVING PANIC ATTACKS AGAIN. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF XANAX XR CAN BE DOING THIS? ANYONE ELSE LIKE ME? I FELT BETTER JUST ON THE KLON. EVEN THOUGH I HAD BUILT A TOLERANCE TO IT. HELP PLEASE! THANKS & GOD BLESS.

Seriously I've never heard of this before. Have you phoned your doc? I'd think if you'd done well before the addition he may decide to discontinue it and try another short acting benzo. Love Phillipa
