Has anyone noticed an improvement in their moods (anxiety & depression) after having a total hysterectomy? Both ovaries out and everything.

I will be taking a small dose of estrogen.
I think my monthly mood swings have gotten much worse the older I've gotten. I'm pretty much crazy for 2 weeks out of the month.
I'm hoping without ovaries I won't have the terrible mood swings tied to ovulation and my period.
From what I can tell, estrogen doesn't make me crazy, its the rise in progesterone.

When going through menopause I was using a compounding pharmacy for cream prescibed by my OB-GYN. They told me the progesterone part was the relaxing part. I wonder why it would be different now as a hysterectomy and removal of the ovaries is about the same? Love Phillipa
