All its done is to make me sleepy and lethargic.

Tom - Maybe 8 or 10 years ago I took Nardil - it was the original formula, of course. My experience - after about 6 weeks I had no Social Phobia - I was out playing my saxophone in public again after about 25 years. I would also take a .5 klonapin about 2 hrs. before I knew I would be performing. But it wasn't the Klonapin that got me up there, it was Nardil - just all of a sudden I was a different person, social, relaxed - 100% changed. It did make me more tired during the day, so I just drank a little more coffee, which I love anyway. BUT - I was younger then, and didn't feel alive sexually anymore, and didn't want to live that way, so I stopped the Nardil. In a short time I was back to my previous state. Many times I regretted that decision. Since I have tried other things, mostly SSRI's - Paxil worked, but not the same as Nardil for SP. So now for months I have been experimenting with Emsam, and I would say it pales is comparison - inconsistent, and I consider it a failure, although still taking it. Now I would take Nardil if it were the same, but because of all the negative things I have read regarding it's new formulation as of 2003, I am afraid to take it. That's the latest. I hope that there is an answer for us out there somewhere. Richard
