I've been doing very well on Lyrica for 10 days now. I take 300 mgs. bid, working up to this higher dose over the past 3 weeks. 10 days ago it was like WOW! I noticed a big change..depression relief, anxiety gone, and i have become very pro-social. I need to include that i am taking the lyrica in conjunction w/ the 9mg. EMSAM patch, and 2 mgs. of Klonopin daily.
Please tell me your personal experiences with Lyrica (pregabalin) and what you know about this medication. Thanks.
:) Monte

Monte, It's good to hear you're doing so well and please keep posting your progress. I just got my prescription for Lyrica today! I also take Lexapro 20mg and Klonopin 1mg per day. Let's compare notes!

> :) MonteI'm glad to hear you're working well at a (high, clinically significant) dose -- unfortunately for me I'm one of the whatever % that had to discontinue it because it caused blurred vision, changing 20/20 to 20/40. I never reached a clinical dose, this was something like 50 mg or whatever was the smallest. This could be because of the drug itself, which is a known side effect, or because of the other medications I take.
Neurontin I think also can cause all sorts of wierd things though for probably 99% it is benign and in fact passes the urinary tract after a certain amount of dose is taken. I still take Neurontin, though I think it was more effective when I started than when I use it now mostly as an adjunctive to benzodiazepines.
