I can't sleep. I am full of worries. I have developed an ulcer. And now it's a bleeding ulcer. I don't know why I am posting this ...
I just want to sleep before the psychosis sets in.
I've tried to meditate. I've tried meds. I've tried self-hypnosis. But my worries are stronger than all of the above.
I'm also starving! Maybe a little protein would help. Two tablespoons of non-fat yoghurt ... I won't gain any weight from that will I? *fear*
Benadryl ... I will take some Benadryl.

Sweetie,
You could eat a whole container of plain yogurt and not get fat. I PROMISE!

The Benadryl didn't help.

Dear Maxi,
Would a dose of Largactil help you sleep? You could take some extra Rivotril too.

The Largactil makes me puffy the next day ... I'm sure it makes me gain weight.
I am trying to come off the Rivotril, so I don't want to take any extra.
I ate two tablespoons of yoghurt and that helped. I slept for one hour last night.
This can't go on.

Thanks Phillipa. I allowed myself 2 tablespoons.

Hi Maxie
Do you feel hungry at bedtime? I know I can't sleep when I'm hungry. The yoghurt sounds like a good idea. There are lots of healthy vitamin-packed foods you could choose from. Maybe a piece of fruit?
Love

Yes, I am usually hungry at night because I have restricted all day and then it hits me. So a few tablespoons of yohurt or half a cup of skim milk or 6 almonds. That's what I am allowed to have.
Do you know why we can't sleep when we are hungry? Because when "we" were cavemen (sic) we had to hunt for our food. We had to wait and be alert for the opportunity to hunt. You would think that we would have lost that instinct by now. :-)

Maxime,
I know if it hard, but could you increase your almonds by one or two? Or another spoon of yogurt? I promise you won't gain weight. And I bet it would really help you sleep better.

Maxime,
I just read your "rules" on the eating board. You need help. You really do. Do you think of your pdoc as a substitute dad since your father is gone? I know you miss him.
I didn't realize they changed your "sleeping" med. Why no more thorazine? (That is the right one isn't it?)

Thorazine wasn't my sleeping med per se. It makes me lactate after a few night of taking it, so I don't take it anymore.
I don't see my pdoc as a father figure ... no.
My pdoc doesn't know how to treat eating disoders so we don't really address it even though I tell him about it ....

Maxie,
Have you ever tried Seroquel at a very low dose? It's often helpful for severe insomnia. Hopefully you wouldn't lactate on a very low dose.
