Now that Lamictal has given me weird s/e's that have forced me to quit taking it (me and 3 other people in the freaking world, I think) what is next for me? I can't do anything that's going to put more weight on me. Lithium and Depakote have been tried with sucky s/e's and no benefit. I was thinking about Abilify ... any opinions on Abilify or any other suggestions.
I am ADHD and BPII. On Inderal LA for migraines, 60mog of Ritalin LA for ADHD and ???...was Lamictal which, even though I was not at therapeutic dose, was helping, I could tell a difference.
You guys always have good thoughts...thanks for listening...

Have you tried Topomax? Trileptal? The first can make you lose weight, the second is weight neutral and not many side effects. I think Topomax has more side effects ( cognitive impairment).
Abilify is supposed to be effective for BP 2 .... it's not available where I live so I can't tell you.
