So, on Monday I began cutting the patch from a half to a quarter, probably with the intent of gettting off of it soon. I didn't have too much of a problem adjusting when I cut it from a full to a half about 2 months ago...but now I'm getting withdrawal symptoms, including a pretty good bout of flu-like symptoms. Coughing, runny nose, fatigue, some GI upset, general crappy flu feeling. No fever, but I still feel like sh--. Hadn't really expected this, this is the first time med withdrawal has made me sick in the conventional sense. I also have some waves of intense anxiety and generally low energy, which didn't surprise me as much as the flu.
This'll probably get moved to the withdrawal board, but I thought i'd put it here since more people will see it here. Emsam hasn't been around long enough for many people to try it and quit yet. Just thought I'd let everyone know.

Thanks I'm about to start it as soon as I wean of the luvox. I'm only going to use a quarter of a patch. And I hope it works. Why are you going off it? The more info I have the better my chances of it succeeding. I need to know all the facts. Thanks Phillipa

I tried emsam to see if it would reverse the damage that prozac did to me (seemingly permanent sexual, emotional deadness). It didn't help and was causing excessive sweating. I have anxiety too...if it helped that at all it was inconsistent and subtle, but with a combo it could help, you just have to try it for yourself.
This is the end of the thread.
