Which has less weight gaining side effects? I was on Celexa at one time and loved (pretty much felt very relaxed all the time), but gained about 30 lbs. I'm afraid the Lexapro is the same way. Makes me feel pretty darn relaxed - no anxiety.
I was taking a low dose of Prozac, which helped. The anxiety with Prozac kicked in at 20mg.
My husband, is concerned that either drug will cause me to lose interest or ability in sex.
Any info on weight and sex with Lexapro or Prozac?

I lost weight on both of them; but on the other hand they both take away your sex drive.

Prozac tends to cause less weight gain than the other SSRIs, I believe. But it works differently in everyone--it might be different in that respect, and it might not. It is also generally more activating, but less likely to help with anxiety. You'd just have to try it and see, to be sure.
Good luck,
